Music magazine: Photo Plans

For the double page interview I have decided to "Interview" a band, as they are more common than solo artists in the world of pop punk. I have asked three of my friends (Mia, Chloé and Nia) to act as this band. they would also feature as the main image on the front cover of the magazine, and also be on the contents page.

We have arranged to take the pictures on thursday afternoon, in the woods. I will bring a guitar to be a prop, and they will all wear skinny jeans, leather jackets and a t-shirt of their shirt, to show variety within the band. To make an interesting topic for the actual interview they will be wearing fake transfer spiderman tattoos to act as real ones. the make up will also be varied within the band. i want to take pictures of them just playing around, having "humorous" conversations. 

I will also take pictures of my friend Steph on friday evening in the scout hall and outside, on the common. She will be wearing mostly black and heavy make up. This will add some contrast to the band in the woods. She will act as a solo act, and be inside and out. One thing I can do in the scout hall is stand on the stage and take some pictures from a high vantage point.

I will also be taking pictures of my brother against the brick wall of an alleyway. He will be holding his electric guitar. This will create a more dark and moody effect. He will be wearing a dark t-shirt and jeans. This will take place after-school on Monday. 

Scamps and Flatplans

Today in the lesson I created scamps for my music magazine. I created one for each the cover, contents page, and double page interview. we were reminded how to create the scamps and how to work in design. I sketched simple ideas of how I would take the pictures for the magazine and worked out where they would feature. I did the same with the text and cover lines etc.

I then went onto InDesign and created flat-plan blocks for each of the pages. because some of the frame boxes overlapped, it was hard to differentiate which frame box was which, so I filled them all with different colours.
