On the software "In design" I created a flat plan block of the front page of my school magazine, and explained what each box is for:


I also created one for the contents page:



These flat plans will help me arrange my items in the magazine, and keep to a composition that works.

I annotated a school magazine cover, to help me for later stages when I start to design my school magazine. this is the magazine cover:



I also annotated a contents page, but it was difficult to find a good quality school magazine contents page, so instead I used one from the music magazine, "Kerrang."

I conducted a survey on 20 people to find out what they looked for in a school magazine. Below are the questions I asked:

I then created an analysis of their results, so I could see the most popular ideas.

By conducting this survey, I have a good idea about what people want to be featured in the magazine, and how people want it to look like.
